INTERCOUNTY DRIVER TRAINING or IDT began as ‘The Hemel Hempstead and District School of Motoring’ in 1974 and expanded when an opportunity arose to train its own Driving Instructors. The Company has Instructors across most parts of the Country and is now growing into a large independent driving school. Find out more about joining IDT to become a Driving Instructor on our Trainee Course or as an Approved Driving Instructor, knowing that you can earn over £30,000 per year. You can choose to work full or part time.

No previous experience is required for a Trainee, since full training is given, but you must have held a clean driving licence for at least 3¹/₂ years.
